TechCrunch have a pretty amazing demonstration video of a video editing and control system that some researchers have put together at the University of Washington.

I find it particular amazing that the system is able to work from an edit to just a single frame.

The video doesn't say how many CPU cycles would be eaten as the video was edited automatically - but it should save on laborious manual editing. I wonder how long before a combi-camera will be available commercially with the software?
